Primary Responsibilities
- Represent the university at various recruitment events.
- Promote Missouri S&T to students, families, and high school contacts through in-person presentations and virtual events.
- Advise and assist prospective students by explaining admissions requirements, scholarships and financial aid, academic programs, and campus life.
- Travel within your assigned territory for recruitment, including evening and weekend travel.
- Provide a prompt review of admission applications for students within assigned territory.
- Build strong relationships with prospective students and families, high school contacts, and campus and community partners.
- Manage recruitment territory by utilizing data to plan travel, make admissions decisions, and communicate with students.
- Cookordination special recruitment events on-campus and off-campus with various stakeholders (current students, staff and faculty, alumni volunteers) to promote the university.
- Utilize computer database to update student and high school records and log communications.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
- Experience in student recruitment, territory management, marketing, or other highly interactive promotional fields.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), familiarity with PeopleSoft and Slate, high comfort level with technology and the ability to analyze and present data effectively.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and proven ability to work autonomously within a collaborative remote team setting.
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $19.00-$23.50 hourly. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
