Description Position Summary Performs all pre- and post- sales transactions for various Power Systems sales organizations. Establishes relationships with OEM and other vendor purchasing departments and processes orders. Communicates with customers regarding order delivery dates as well as validates order pricing. Arranges for transportation of machines, engines, and other systems and ensures accuracy of data entered into a variety of company sales database programs. Verifies product availability, costs and overall gross profit of each transaction. Able to develop and support procurement processes and MRP functions. Lead Team in Continuous Improvement Projects. Supports sales team and coordinates a variety of supply chain and fulfillment functions, including but not limited to engine system build-up, fulfillment of complex power systems project content, and others. Position Duties/Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities: Enables Scalable Growth Of Power Systems Business By Supporting OEM, EPG, Power Rent, Hydrovac, Agriculture, On-Highway, And Sales Operations Management With Supply chain support; improving procurement practices and assisting engineers with supplier selection and supplier performanceSupport management of consignment inventorySupport project accounting practices, reporting and complianceSupport BOM management and costing/pricing dataAftermarket support for non-Caterpillar parts and assembliesSupport ad-hoc reporting needs of PSD segment leadersContinuous improvement work ranging across supply chain, operations, sales administration, reporting, and other functionsSupports sales team and coordinates a variety of supply chain and fulfillment functions, including but not limited to engine system build-up, fulfillment of complex power systems project content, and others. Receives, reviews and processes Engine Sales orders by performing a variety of tasks including, but not limited to: Order and track ancillary system-level parts while maintaining acceptable inventory/pricing levels.Leads continuous improvement projectsAssist managers in specification and validation of customized reportsVerifies availability of product according to specifications requestedOrders attachment kits and other add-ons according to final product specificationsCommunicates with customer regarding delivery requirementsVerifies that the final product sold meets acceptable gross profit guidelinesArranges for transportation of the products to the customerCollects proof of delivery of products according to manufacturer requirementsPrepares customer invoiceEnters information regarding a sales transaction details into the appropriate company sales database ensuring accuracy and completeness of informationReviews vendor invoices ensuring accuracy of costs billed, approves and submits invoices to Accounting for paymentSchedules installations with vendors according to final product specifications Supervisory Responsibilities No formal responsibility for supervising others Required Position Requirements High School Diploma or GED6 years or more of experience working in a sales support or other relevant customer service roleA valid driver’s license Preferred Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (Business Administration, Project Management, etc.)8 years or more of experience of office management/sales administrative responsibilitiesSix Sigma experience Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
