Senior Administrative Assistant - Economic and Workforce Development

About the Role
Provides full administrative support to the Office of Economic and Workforce Development and the Assistant Vice President.
Responsibilities
- Greets visitors, callers, and guests in a professional manner; serves as a resource for inquiries related to the Office of Economic and Workforce Development and the University.
- Performs computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheet and database, and transcription from a variety of materials.
- Processes budget transactions for the Assistant Vice President of Economic and Workforce Development.
- Manages multiple budget accounts, including processing purchase requisitions and invoices, managing fixed asset reports, and reviewing internal charges.
- Sources and allocates space reservations for Economic and Workforce Development programming.
- Schedules appointments and meetings, including internal and external events and travel arrangements for the Office of Economic and Workforce Development and Assistant Vice President.
- Provides customer service support for Office of Economic and Workforce Development initiatives and events.
- Organizes and distributes materials and mailings.
- Handles confidential matters.
- Updates and maintains departmental websites as necessary and appropriate.
- Manages current filing systems and electronic recordkeeping, email, and communications.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional relationships within and external to the organization.
- Experience in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Demonstrated budget management skills.
- Previous work experience that evidences a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service.
