Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides constituent services to the worldwide Christian Science practitioner corps and others, supporting communication and building a supportive trusting relationship with The Mother Church.
- Provides administrative support to the CSPA Manager and Assistant Manager, assisting with applications, directory services, and other inquiries.
- Organizes and manages written communications to the Christian Science practitioner corps and other groups, including mailings and website maintenance.
- Coordinates the logistical aspects of workshops and video conference calls for Journal-listed practitioners.
- Maintains accurate, up-to-date practitioner information and prepares reports as needed.
- Stays informed about Church, CSPS, and CSPA policies and procedures to ensure adherence.
- Attends meetings and fields incoming calls or emails when the CSPA Manager is unavailable.
Administration
- Supports the CSPA Manager and Assistant Manager by providing outstanding administrative support, freeing them up to focus on strategic duties.
- Manages the CSPA mailbox, reviews incoming correspondence, prepares responses, and tracks responses to ensure they are made in a timely manner.
- Coordinates the CSPA workflow to ensure tasks, processes, and projects are tracked to completion, including organizing and maintaining CSPA Trello boards.
- Organizes and maintains filing (mostly electronic) for the CSPA office, coordinates and updates information in databases such as Salesforce, runs reports, and provides technical support with efficiency and confidentiality.
- Aids in expense reporting and serves as a key liaison to other TMC/CSPS departments as needed.
- Serves as a key liaison to other TMC/CSPS departments as needed for constituent services, projects, or administrative matters.
- Ensures that the department’s workspace needs are met, including ordering supplies, addressing any facilities needs or issues, and handling technology matters.
Projects
- Helps the CSPA Manager and Assistant Manager conceive of and implement special projects and other enhancements to constituent services and internal operations.
- Develops updates to guidelines, procedures, and forms related to CS practitioners to protect the integrity of the Christian Science healing practice.
- Develops resources and implements methods of support for Journal-listed CS practitioners and/or the Christian Science Board of Directors.
- Supports the CSPA Manager in developing and curating content for CS practitioner events.
- Researches and prepares special reports on policy, precedent, and other topics, as directed by the CSPA Manager.
Staff Management and Job Contacts
- Reports to Manager, Christian Science Practitioner Activities.
- No supervision.
- Regular contacts include other members of the CSPA team, Christian Science practitioners, members of The Mother Church and the public, and members of other Mother Church and Christian Science Publishing Society departments.
Qualifications
- Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, previous solid professional office experience required.
- Skills: Excellent oral, written, and telephone communications skills, ability to work in a highly confidential and sensitive environment, teamwork, collaboration, humility, self-knowledge, love, grace, cheerfulness, initiative, follow-through, thoroughness, attention to detail, orderliness, efficiency, flexibility, wisdom, discernment, confidentiality, knowledge of process and project management skills, fluent word processing skills, solid knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, PowerPoint or slide skills helpful, languages in addition to English are helpful, comfort with both repetitive routine work and one-time projects requiring creativity and problem-solving, willingness to learn and utilize new technology, software, and databases.
Engagement with Christian Science
- Membership in The Mother Church and Primary Class instruction required.
- Solid familiarity with the Bible, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, and other writings by Mary Baker Eddy, including the Church Manual, especially by-laws relating to practitioners.
- Supports the Christian Science Board of Directors.
- Preferably an active member of a Branch Church (or local Mother Church member) or Christian Science Organization.
- Prior professional experience as a Christian Science practitioner or Christian Science nurse is helpful.
Pay Range
$76,025 - $98,832.20 Annually
