Senior Acquisition Program Manager
About the Role
Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Acquisition Program Manager supporting a high-priority acquisition mission within the Air Force. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Special Programs Division (AFLCMC/HNJ) provides sensitive command, control, communications, intelligence, and networks (C3I&N) and battle management (BM) capabilities—from kinetic weaponry dominance to information dominance. The Division’s expansive customer base includes Air Force Special Access Program (SAP) communities, other Department of Defense (DoD) units, and national-level agencies. These customers increasingly require rapid fielding of advanced capabilities to counter emerging cyber and operational threats to U.S. national security.
Responsibilities
- Investigates, analyzes, plans, evaluates, drafts, and/or recommends solutions for project/program efforts.
- Provides expert-level issue resolution and recommendation support to achieve desired program outcomes.
- Applies broad knowledge of organizational missions and programs, such as acquisition management and modernization planning.
- Applies knowledge of and expertise with acquisition management, program management, budget/finance principles and methodologies, modernization planning, and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Executing (PPBE) process.
- Reviews initial and revised acquisition documents and provides an enterprise-level perspective to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Provides comments on acquisition documentation that add value from an enterprise perspective and facilitate an integrated, system-of-systems approach across the division.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret level clearance with SAP and SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of general work experience, 5 years of which must be in acquisition program management.
Skills
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in acquisition documentation and milestone preparation.
- Understanding of PPBE process and financial planning.
- Experience in enterprise-level acquisition planning.
- Familiarity with DoDI 5000 series, JCIDS, and program lifecycle documentation.
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong communication and briefing skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Team-oriented mindset with leadership experience.
Additional Information
Location: Hanscom AFB, MA. Travel may be required at the customer's discretion.
Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
