About the role
We are seeking a Senior Acquisition Program Engineer to join our team at Eglin AFB in Niceville, Florida. The role provides mechanical/aerospace/materials engineering support to the SDBII program, ensuring technical efforts align with program objectives, cost, schedule, and performance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Apply advanced engineering principles to support program objectives.
- Assist with engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and technical recommendations for system and equipment performance.
- Support planning and execution of complex engineering tasks involving:
- Statics, Dynamics, Tribology
- Mechanical wear, Fatigue, Corrosion
- Fluid dynamics, Thermodynamics
- Assist in the generation and interpretation of technical data packages, including 2D drawings and 3D models.
- Support testing, evaluation, life prediction, and standardization of materials and material properties used in engineering design.
- Provide technical inputs to briefings, technical reviews, and program documentation in support of Government decision-making.
- Collaborate within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to support mission execution and program success.
Requirements
- Undergraduate engineering degree from ABET-accredited college.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and ten (10) years of professional experience, or
- Master’s of Science degree in Engineering and eight (8) years of professional experience, or
- Ph.D. and three (3) years of professional experience.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance by date of hire.
Schedule
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week with a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
