Senior Acquisition Electrical Engineer

Role And Responsibilities

• Exhibit and apply knowledge and experience in DoD engineering principles, criteria, and common engineering/scientific principles, processes, and procedures to improve performance and sustainability of existing and future AF and joint service weapon systems
• USAF systems, subsystems, and equipment procurement activities, post award project/program management tasks, and acquisition programs throughout their life cycles
• Provide technical leadership to the vision, design, and oversight of complex projects, spanning hardware and software solutions
• Provide technical expertise in aircraft software and hardware development efforts
• Identify, track, and report project and system risks
• Create and maintain systems engineering documentation related to the overall program
• Document accomplishments and insight via documentation and other coordination to include trip reports, monthly status reports, collaboration exchanges, program management reviews, and end-of-task reporting
• Exhibit and apply risk management and opportunities experience
• Able to oversee implementation of vision to enable new capabilities to meet user needs, including understanding and communicating requirements decomposition, traceability, and verification

Qualification And Education Requirements

• Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) from an ABET accredited post-secondary education source plus 10 years of industry or government experience demonstrating and practicing their knowledge, skills, and abilities in Electrical Engineering
• No credit is accepted for experience in other functional engineering positions
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET accredited post-secondary education source plus 18 years of industry or government experience demonstrating and practicing their knowledge, skills, and abilities in Electrical Engineering
• No credit is accepted for experience in other functional engineering positions
• Must have 12 months or more experience in a Special Access Program (SAP) environment within the last five years
• Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance, current within five years, and be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP) access.
