Senior Accounting Specialist

Duties And Responsibilities

• Responsible for monthly fixed assets and prepaid accounting
• Supports daily liquidity and funds management
• Prepare general ledger certifications (i.e. correspondent bank accounts, asset/liability general leger accounts and bank control accounts) and applicable schedules
• Aid in the month end close process and reporting, including variance analysis
• Assist in preparing the quarterly Call Report and supporting schedules
• Supports preparation of various analytical reports and information
• Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies
• Research and resolve discrepancies timely
• Collaborate with different departments to achieve the various deliverables on financial reporting
• Builds and maintains rapport with internal stakeholders and external agencies involved in the financial reporting process

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Accounting Experience
• Commercial banking accounting experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point
• Minimum of intermediate experience in Excel
