About the Role
This full-time, on-site Senior Accounting Manager position is based in Airway Heights, WA. The role supervises and reviews the activities of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams, ensuring accurate and timely recording and reporting of financial information. The Senior Accounting Manager identifies process improvement opportunities and implements changes as needed. Additionally, this role prepares and reviews financial analysis reports, reconciliations, and schedules.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and review the work of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording and reporting of financial information.
- Review processes for improvement opportunities and recommend or make changes.
- Prepare and review financial analysis reports, reconciliations, and schedules.
- Directly supervise three or more employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, and address complaints or resolve problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
- Two to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, business periodicals, professional journals, and governmental regulations.
- Strong writing skills for reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Proficiency in basic mathematical operations, including computing discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, and basic algebra/geometry.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to interpret financial statements and apply common sense to carry out instructions.
Skills
- Excellent computer skills, particularly with spreadsheet and graphic presentation programs.
- Strong presentation, communication, planning, and implementation abilities.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Experience with Microsoft Access and Oracle.
- 10-key by touch and ability to keyboard approximately 55 WPM.
- Ability to tactfully interact with various personalities and deal professionally with internal and external customers.
Pay
$82,500.00 - $92,700.00 annually, depending on experience.
