About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our SEC Reporting team. In this role, you will work on the Company’s external reporting, including quarterly and annual reports filed with the SEC and statutory financial statements in compliance with local requirements. You will collaborate daily with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the Company's financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and SEC reporting standards, including preparing financial statements, related disclosures, and drafting MD&A for annual and quarterly filings.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual SEC filings by collaborating with external auditors, executives, finance, legal, and investor relations to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Monitor, assess, and implement new accounting pronouncements and reporting changes applicable to the company, with an emphasis on SEC external reporting.
  • Stay up to date on changes within the Company and industry to ensure SEC reporting reflects new developments.
  • Maintain relationships with external auditors in support of annual audits and quarterly reviews.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to prepare materials and presentations consistent with SEC filings, including analyst presentations.
  • Coordinate and manage the preparation of ad hoc reports, including Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) disclosures and government financial surveys.
  • Partner with the international team to prepare and review statutory financial statements in compliance with local requirements.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting or technical assistance on transactions as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent years of experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.

Skills

  • Knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and US GAAP.
  • High level of organizational and critical thinking skills.
  • Superior attention to detail with a high sense of urgency.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work extended hours during critical periods.
  • Ability to manage a business process from start to finish, identify roadblocks, and communicate challenges with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work under pressure and perform tasks concurrently in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to multi-task, think creatively, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and build meaningful business relationships.
  • Exceptional analytical and Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA License, or in progress.
  • Experience in a Big 4 firm or Fortune 500 company with an emphasis on external reporting.
  • Experience with Workiva.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive meaningful impact.
  • Ongoing AI skill development and staying current with emerging AI technologies.

Schedule

This role follows a "default together" policy, expecting team members to work in an office 4+ days per week.

Pay

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions, and may be negotiable within the salary range.

  • Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): $107,000-$161,000 annually.
  • Zone B: $102,000-$153,000 annually.
  • Zone C: $91,000-$137,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
