Senior Accountant, Revenue Accounting

About the role
As a Senior Accountant in Revenue Recognition & Reporting, you will play a critical role in the Activision Blizzard controllership and the worldwide Finance Team. Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting the execution of the accounting process for our revenue accounting system
- Handling revenue recognition for partnership transactions not processed by our revenue system
- Partnering with technical accounting and business/finance teams to stay updated on new business developments impacting revenue system setups and processes
- Ensuring alignment with all accounting requirements under US GAAP and global accounting policies for areas of responsibility
You will collaborate closely with business units across the company to understand business activities associated with games in development and address accounting and finance-related issues.
Responsibilities
- Support the full accounting close process for the revenue accounting system, including preparation and maintenance of system configurations, reconciliations, and SOX compliance
- Work closely with finance teams to stay informed of business performance and new developments to ensure proper accounting system setups
- Partner with key stakeholders and business unit teams to execute revenue recognition for new partnership transactions and non-routine revenue entries (e.g., agreement review, revenue accounting workbook preparation, journal entry preparation)
- Collaborate with the Corporate FP&A team to prepare supporting schedules for revenue forecasts
- Support internal and external audit processes and requests for areas of responsibility
- Assist with testing revenue system upgrades and enhancements
Requirements
- B.A./B.S. in Accounting
- 5+ years of professional accounting experience, with a focus on revenue recognition
- Experience managing system data flows and processing high volumes of transaction data
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- In-depth knowledge of revenue recognition under US GAAP
- Experience managing and analyzing large data sets
- CPA preferred but not required

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite or similar ERP systems
- Experience with reporting tools such as Looker, OBIEE Answers, and Hyperion
- Experience with Zuora Revenue Recognition software
- Experience with revenue recognition in the gaming industry

Pay
In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $74,020.00 - $136,944.00 Annual. The specific range and offer will be based on relevant experience, performance, and work location. Employees in this role may also be eligible for incentive compensation, which is not guaranteed.
