Senior Accountant - Real Estate

About the role

Seeking a strong Accountant (CPA) out of public accounting for a strong real estate company here locally. It would be necessary to have at least 2 years public accounting and ideally a mix of public and private experience.

Desired experience includes prior real estate industry experience and familiarity with Yardi.

Responsibilities

• Drive the month end close and internal financial reporting
• Prepare quarterly analytics for external investor reports
• Manage cash flows and reconcile cash and investments
• Achieve accurate recording of revenues and expenses
• Perform month-end activities, journal entries, GL & account reconciliation, and accruals
• Conduct account analysis to review monthly flux analysis and variance analysis between actual and budget
• Yardi highly desired and strong Excel skills required
• Strong communication and presentation skills necessary

Requirements

• At least 2 years of public accounting experience
• Experience in both public and private sectors preferred
• Prior real estate industry experience
• Familiarity with Yardi software
• CPA certification

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
