Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Accountant (Real Estate) in Montgomery County, PA for our client, supporting fund accounting, financial reporting, and investment-level accounting across a real estate platform. This role partners with accounting and investment teams to manage close processes, capital activity, and reporting deliverables. The position offers exposure to fund structures, joint ventures, and portfolio-level analysis while utilizing tools such as Excel and accounting systems.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Support preparation of quarterly financial statements and reporting packages across funds and investment entities.
  • Close Process: Perform monthly and quarterly close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and cash activity.
  • Capital Activity: Manage capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations across multiple entities.
  • Investment Accounting: Track investment performance metrics and support analysis of portfolio activity.
  • Audit and Tax Support: Assist with audits and tax processes, coordinating with external service providers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to support operational, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required, with CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
  • Experience: 4-6 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Exposure to real estate, private equity, or investment accounting is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong Excel skills are required, with experience in accounting systems preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are required.
