About the role
A non-profit organization located near downtown LA is looking for a Senior Accountant on a long-term contract (potential contract-to-hire).
Responsibilities
- Account/bank reconciliation
- General ledger management
- Working with grant funding sources on billing
- Applying grant payments
- Month/year-end closes
- Journal entry preparation
- Analyzing balance sheets
- Handling project expense management
- Assisting with budget development
- Preparing fiscal reports
- Assisting with audits
- Ad hoc projects
- Administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or related discipline required
- At least four years of general and grant/funding accounting experience (including general ledger management, grant reporting, grant funding analysis, journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, month-end assistance)
- Non-profit industry experience required
- NetSuite required
