Essential Functions
- Analyze financial data and provide variance explanations to management.
- Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end close.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Absorb assistance with preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including construction-specific accounts such as WIP (work-in-progress), retention, and job cost allocations.
- Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Absorb assistance with budgeting, forecasting, and special projects as assigned.
- Formulate and prepare a variety of management reports, providing accurate financial data and analysis to support leadership in strategic and operational decision-making.
- Perform job costing analysis by monitoring costs against budgets, identifying variances, and preparing cost-to-complete reports.
- Absorb assistance with financial reporting, cost tracking, and forecasting for project managers and operations teams.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal controls.
- Continuously improve processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency in project accounting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, operations) to resolve accounting issues.
Roles And Responsibilities
