About the role
Clearway is seeking a Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting with 4+ years of professional work experience in accounting and/or financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and a general understanding of U.S. GAAP.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Clearway (CEG) enterprise model to be distributed to external shareholders on a monthly basis.
- Conduct a mid-month analysis on a quarterly basis.
- Process SAP in-house cash activities monthly.
- Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close tasks.
- Support the CWEN corporate accounting team with prepaids, accruals, monthly debt entries, monthly insurance entries and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls.
- Aid with preparing client deliverables for external audits and follow-up requests.
- Aid with ad hoc requests from other departments.
- Assist with special projects as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional work experience in accounting and/or financial reporting.
- Working knowledge and general understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- Ability to collect and analyze information, problem-solve, and make suggestions aimed at refining and improving systems and processes.
- Ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets with large data sets.
- Understanding of the Renewable Energy industry and ability to apply knowledge to reported results.
- Experience with accounting/reporting software, preferably SAP, Hyperion Financial Management and/or OneStream, as well as advanced Excel skills.
- Project management and organization skills with a demonstrated ability to navigate in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to set priorities and respond quickly to changing demands from multiple sources.
Qualifications
- Experience with SAP.
- CPA and/or master’s degree in accounting preferred.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Energy industry (or real estate company) experience is preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of accounting/reporting software, preferably SAP, Hyperion Financial Management and/or OneStream.

Benefits
The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, relevant and demonstrated experience, education, training and certifications, and other factors permitted by law. This role is eligible to earn an annual cash bonus, subject to personal and company performance goals. Salary Range Across all U.S. Locations $88,000—$100,000 USD.
