Senior Accountant - Construction

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department.
• Performing regular financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Conducting month-end and year-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Preparing and presenting monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Managing and reconciling GL accounts.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting systems and internal control policies.
• Providing support for internal and external audits.
• Collaborating with other departments to improve financial efficiency and accuracy.
• Mentoring and providing guidance to junior accounting staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proven experience with Year End Close, Monthly Reporting, and GL.
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
