Senior Accountant - Consolidations & Reconciliations
About the role
CV Resources is partnering with a growing organization in Vancouver, WA to identify an experienced Senior Accountant Consultant for an immediate project-based need. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong technical accountant who enjoys digging into complex reconciliations, cleaning up backlogs, and tackling accounting projects with minimal hand-holding.
This engagement will begin as a true temporary/consulting assignment, with the potential to evolve into a temp-to-hire opportunity if there is a strong mutual fit.
Location: Vancouver, WA – 100% Onsite

Responsibilities
- Own and complete high-volume bank and balance sheet reconciliations, including approximately 30 bank accounts
- Work through backlogged and aged reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies
- Perform complex intercompany reconciliations across approximately 15 entities
- Assist with consolidations and consolidation entries
- Research variances and clean up historical accounting issues
- Support month-end close activities across multiple entities
- Help prepare accounts and supporting schedules for an upcoming external audit
- Take ownership of additional accounting cleanup and special projects as needed
Requirements
- Strong Senior Accountant or Accounting Consultant-level experience
- Exceptional reconciliation skills are a must — we're looking for someone who can reconcile complex accounts in their sleep
- Experience working in a multi-entity accounting environment
- Strong intercompany and consolidation experience
- Sage Intacct experience strongly preferred
- Ability to independently research discrepancies and drive issues through resolution
- Advanced Excel skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Prior external audit support or public accounting experience is a plus
About You
The ideal consultant is someone who enjoys walking into an accounting project, figuring out what's going on, and getting things cleaned up. You are comfortable with high-volume reconciliations, multiple entities, and competing priorities — and you don't need a detailed roadmap to get started.
