The Senior Financial Reporting Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of the Company’s external financial and internal management reports. Responsible for technical accounting research for new accounting guidance and complex accounting issues. Accurate and timely accounting of all activity related to debt, equity, and other duties as assigned. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the preparation and review of all financial filingsProvide assistance to operational management in the analysis and understanding of all financial information as requiredResearch, analyze, and document technical accounting and disclosure itemsEnsure the timely and accurate journalization of all assigned accounts and transactions to the general ledgerMaintain and update the accounting policies of the Company for new accounting pronouncements and new business endeavorsReconcile/review designated general ledger accounts to the summary trial balance on a monthly basis and provide periodic reporting of accountsEnsure all inter-company accounts for assigned entities are balanced on a periodic basisPrepare all assigned audit request schedules, for review by manager, for the quarterly and year end external audits on a timely basisAssist in preparation of financial reporting package on a timely basisParticipate in all SOX compliance activities – including, but not limited to, documentation, testing, and reportingProvide analysis projects for management on various hot topicsProvide technical training to senior and staff accountantsProvide support to senior and staff accountantsAdditional duties as assigned WORK ENVIRONMENT: Hybrid work environment, 2 days in-person attendance (Pittsburgh, PA) in addition to ability to work remotely.
