Senior Accountant

About the role

A senior accountant position is available in Irvine, CA, offering a salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 annually. This role requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 3+ years of accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting. Nonprofit experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end and year-end close process
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
• Review payroll processing and payroll-related journal entries
• Manage fixed assets and general ledger activity
• Prepare audit and tax schedules
• Auxiliary with payroll funding and regulatory filings
• Identify process improvements and support accounting operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting
• Strong month-end close and reconciliation experience
• Experience reviewing payroll preferred
• Proficiency in Excel; Great Plains (GP) experience a plus
• Self-starter with a take-charge attitude, strong attention to detail, and pride in their work

Skills

• Strong financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliation, general ledger experience
• Someone to own the month-end close process required
• Non-profit industry preferred

Pay

$65,000 - $80,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other factors permitted by law.
