Senior Accountant

About the Role

We're partnering with a growing organization seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys owning key aspects of the month-end close process, driving process improvements, and supporting a fast-paced, evolving business environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to partner across functions to support accurate financial reporting and operational excellence.

What You'll Own

- Prepare and review month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement support. - Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate account variances to ensure accuracy and completeness. - Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages. - Analyze financial results and provide insight into account fluctuations and reporting trends. - Support the implementation and enhancement of accounting processes, controls, and reporting procedures. - Partner with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiencies and streamline workflows. - Assist with annual audits and serve as a key point of contact for auditor requests. - Support special projects, system implementations, and process improvement initiatives. - Help maintain accounting policies, procedures, and documentation to support a scalable finance organization.

What We're Looking For

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance - CPA or CPA-track preferred - 2-6+ years of progressive accounting experience - Public accounting experience and/or experience within a private equity-backed, high-growth, or complex operating environment preferred - Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles - Experience supporting month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working within ERP systems - Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and enhance accounting efficiencies - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams
