Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities And Essential Functions

• Process transactions for fixed asset additions, transfers, disposals, and depreciation using Lawson Asset Management module.
• Reconcile bank accounts, treasury investments, and endowment investments to the general ledger monthly.
• Reconcile fund account balances, including pledge receivable balances, CRUTs, gift annuities, restricted gift accounting, and endowment spend.
• Monitor spending to ensure consistency with restrictions and support the Development group in event and gift planning.
• Forecast balance sheets as part of budgeting and forecasting exercises.
• Perform other account analyses, document internal controls, and assist with other tasks as required.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• 3 – 5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, advanced degree preferred.
• Knowledge of non-profit accounting, particularly gift accounting.
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems (Lawson and Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge).
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and re-prioritize efforts effectively.
• Experience in analyzing and interpreting financial data and preparing accurate and timely reports.
• Ability to travel to Lab locations on occasion.
