Senior Accountant

About the role

A homebuilding organization is seeking a Senior Accountant in Miami, Florida. This role supports revenue and cash accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting within a fast-paced corporate accounting environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily revenue and cash accounting processes, including posting closing journal entries
• Analyze cash and revenue variances and resolve issues in collaboration with internal accounting and treasury partners
• Review corporate cash reconciliations and ensure accuracy using accounting systems and supporting schedules
• Support general ledger coding and posting activities for homebuilding divisions
• Assist with month-end reporting, close activities, special projects, and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in public accounting and/or with a public company.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA or CPA candidate
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational, analytical, decision-making, research, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
