We partner with customers to advance progress through innovation—from producing parts for next-generation space vehicles to evolving vaccine refrigeration, designing functional textures for everyday products, improving renewable energy technology, and more. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our Accounting Team, acting as a critical part in maintaining financial accuracy, driving process improvements, and serving as an accounting business partner to support the shared service center and corporate accounting.
Responsibilities
- Transact general ledger accounting processes supporting corporate accounting and the shared service center, including managing month-end close activities for assigned companies.
- Proactively provide accounting assistance to designated business units and departments.
- Prepare account reconciliations and review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances.
- Prepare the reconciliation of various corporate-managed areas including but not limited to intercompany, travel & expenses, equity, leases, fixed assets, and intangibles; partner with business units to proactively address and resolve imbalances.
- Assist with the monthly consolidated close and preparation of the monthly financial reporting package.
- Participate in the external reporting process with a focus on footnote and schedule support.
- Maintain current documentation of procedures and proactively identify opportunities to improve process efficiencies.
- Assist in supporting quarterly reviews and annual audit efforts, including coordination of requests globally.
- Fully leverage IT systems to enhance closing and reporting processes and assist with implementations as needed.
- Become a super user of the financial reporting and planning tools as well as the company's other ancillary systems, serving as a resource for training and process improvement opportunities.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis as requested by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 4+ years of solid accounting experience.
- Competence in the use of Microsoft Office products and experience with ERP applications.
- Ability to interact with team members at all levels, including senior management such as Controllers, FP&A, and Treasury.
- Effective oral communication skills, strong written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A high degree of accuracy, critical thinking, and attention to detail; a mindset focused on continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- MBA/CPA and exposure to multi-company accounting a plus.
- Experience with SAP Business One, Epicor, and/or OneStream a plus.
