Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare all necessary financial reports, journal entries, and general ledger account reconciliations accurately and on a timely basis.
• Daily cash management reports and bank reconciliations.
• Post adjusting journal entries at month-end.
• Preparation of monthly account and bank reconciliations.
• Deposit cash and scan backup.
• Support staff on special projects as needed.
• Provide assistance with interim and year-end audits.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance.
• 3-8 years of experience in accounting for a major company or division of a large corporation.
• Experience in an Architecture/Engineering or Professional Service Company is a plus.
• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Strong computer skills, proficiency with Excel and Word.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, highly motivated, and self-starter.
• Superior organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Prior experience with Deltek VantagePoint is a plus.
