Senior Accountant

About the role

Responsible for financial reporting, analysis, and compliance with GAAP standards. Collaborate with internal teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee month-end close process and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations based on financial data.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and variances, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements.
• Collaborate with legal team on financial matters related to litigation and regulatory inquiries.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with financial modeling and Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Experience with financial systems and software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Understanding of financial risk management and internal controls.
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting tools.

Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with financial analysis software (e.g., CCH, Thomson Reuters).
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
