Senior Accountant

About the role

NewGen Administrative Services partners with skilled nursing facilities to deliver compassionate, person-centered care. We're seeking a Senior Accountant who will take ownership of facility financials, ensuring accurate monthly statements and insights that support community success.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, timely monthly financial statements for assigned facilities
• Own the full close cycle: journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Analyze financial trends, propose adjustments, and resolve discrepancies
• Partner with Accounts Payable to ensure invoice, payment, and accrual accuracy
• Support audit, review, and tax engagements with clear documentation

Requirements

• Must have: Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Must have: 2–3 years of experience as a Senior Accountant (or 4–6 years as a G/L Accountant)
• Must have: Managed care accounting experience
• Must have: Advanced Excel skills and comfort in a Windows environment (Word, Outlook)
• Must have: Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to manage workload independently

Qualifications

• Nice to have: Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment
• Nice to have: Great Plains ERP knowledge

$90,000 – $105,000 per year
