Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for the centralized accounting for homebuilding revenue and cash transaction cycles.
• Assist with General Accounting, Fixed Assets, Leases, Homebuilding & Inventory, Accruals, and Allocations processes.
• Prepare accounting transactions and maintain records, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with US GAAP.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Aid in the design and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to drive efficiency and accuracy in compliance with US GAAP.
• Assist with internal and external audits by compiling schedules, documentation, and responses under supervision.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support system enhancements, workflow automation, and data quality improvements.
• Aid in developing cross-functional relationships with stakeholders, including FP&A, Procurement, Operations, Treasury, Internal Audit, and other business partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Master’s Degree preferred
• CPA or CPA candidate
• 2 – 3 years in public accounting and/or with a public company preferred
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent organizational, management, analytical, decision-making and research skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task accordingly in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with MS Excel and Word
• Experience with JD Edwards, Essbase, Blackline

Qualifications

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements: This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
