Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial information is complete, accurate, and properly recorded.
- Identify account discrepancies, investigate root causes, and drive issues through to resolution.
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting standards and company procedures.
- Prepare and recommend adjusting journal entries, process improvements, and corrective actions as needed.
- Take ownership of month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all close activities.
- Assist with annual financial audits by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to auditor requests.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
- Participate in special projects, system implementations, and ad hoc financial analyses as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with applicable accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate accounting environment.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
