About the Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will manage the full-cycle accounting and financial reporting activities for assigned Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) and vehicle portfolios throughout their lifecycle, from acquisition through disposition. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, maintain entity-level accounting and reconciliations, and support compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and legal entity requirements. You will report to the Manager, Corporate Accounting, Global Accounting, Tax, and Business Services and be located at our Cranberry Township, PA location. Hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily accounting for assigned entities and Special Purchased Vehicle portfolios from acquisition through disposition.
- Maintain accurate vehicle-level accounting records and ensure they reconcile to the general ledger and operational systems.
- Ensure SPV transactions are recorded and remain separate from the parent company and other legal entities.
- Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules for SPV related accounts.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Partner with teams to resolve any accounting and operational issues.
- Support the external audit activities ensuring the integrity and timeliness of deliverables to the auditor.
- Help with financial reporting, management reporting, external reporting, and forecasting.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in existing business practices and create standard operating procedures documentation.
- Assist as requested in other financial and accounting activities as determined by the Accounting Manager and SVP of Global Accounting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and internal control principles.
- 4+ years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Experience with SPV accounting preferred.
- CPA or equivalent preferred.
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $112,500 per year, dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills.
