Senior Construction Accountant

Location: Phoenix, AZ (onsite only)

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities and states
• Perform construction job cost accounting, ensuring proper cost allocation and project tracking
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
• Aid with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Partner with project managers and operations teams to ensure accurate job cost reporting
• Support year-end audits and tax preparation
• Provide financial reporting and analysis to support leadership decision-making

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting and job costing
• Hands-on experience with Sage 300 / Timberline
• Experience supporting multiple legal entities
• Solid understanding of the full accounting lifecycle
• Advanced Excel skills and financial reporting proficiency
