Senior Accountant

Job Details:

We are a privately held company seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. This is a permanent, full-time role offering an excellent opportunity to demonstrate expertise in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and journal entries.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Performs complex account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.
• Conducts regular ledger processes to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
• Assists in the development and implementation of new accounting systems and processes.
• Collaborates with external auditors, providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations to facilitate audit processes.
• Provides guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvements to optimize efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
• Stays updated on industry trends and current accounting standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in an accounting role.
• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, reporting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.
• Excellent computer skills with experience in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
