Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations.
- Prepare and review tax returns, including 1040 individual returns and business returns.
- Conduct audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements.
- Manage client bookkeeping, including maintaining records of invoices and receipts.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports or statements.
- Collaborate with the financial team to improve financial procedures.
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
- Provide expert advice to our team on tax-related matters and financial planning.
- Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on auditing, tax returns, and client bookkeeping.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly advanced skills in Excel.
- Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
- Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Superior attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Pay
$80,000 - $115,000 per year
