Senior Accountant

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting and supporting the integrity of IMS’ accounting operations. This role is a key contributor to the monthly close process and is responsible for journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and maintaining general ledger accuracy. The Senior Accountant also partners closely with Accounts Payable and cross-functional teams, supports audits, and contributes to process improvements and integration efforts related to acquired entities.

Requirements

• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting analysis
• Support and participate in the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting schedules
• Partner with and provide guidance to the Accounts Payable team
• Respond to internal and external information requests in a timely manner
• Support internal and external audits, including documentation and reconciliation support
• Ensure accounting activities comply with GAAP and internal controls
• Participate in accounting and system integrations for mergers and acquisitions
• Support accounting projects such as purchase accounting and process improvements
• Aid in ad hoc accounting initiatives as business needs evolve
