Senior Accountant

About the role

Performs professional accounting work involving compilation, consolidation, and analysis of accounting and finance information for the production of financial statements and reports. Applies accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions.

Responsibilities

• Applies accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions.
• Prepares financial and business-related analysis.
• Claeses, examines, and analyzes accounting records and prepares related financial reports and statements.
• Serves on or leads project teams for special projects.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Requirements

• Required: 5 years of relevant, progressive accounting experience.
• Preferred: Education in Accounting or a related field.
• Experience with PC-based spreadsheet and data processing applications, heavy concentration with Microsoft Excel (formatting, calculations, pivot tables).
• Experience with bookkeeping, collections and/or cash posting.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree.
• Preferred: None.
