Senior Accountant
About the role
You will play a key role in advancing how our team operates — moving beyond traditional process execution toward a smarter, more automated, and insight-driven approach to accounting. You will own complex accounting areas end-to-end, leverage AI and automation tools to improve efficiency and accuracy, and partner with the business to deliver meaningful financial insights that support decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Own monthly general ledger close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual, repetitive processes using AI tools, scripting, and system capabilities
- Leverage AI-assisted analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and risks in financial data — escalating insights proactively rather than reactively
- Partner with FP&A and business stakeholders to provide timely, forward-looking financial analysis that supports planning and decision-making
- Contribute to system modernization initiatives including ERP upgrades, close management tools, and reporting platforms
- Develop and maintain process documentation that supports scalability, knowledge transfer, and audit readiness
- Stay current on emerging technologies, AI applications in finance, and evolving accounting standards
Requirements
- 3+ years of accounting experience with demonstrated ability to work independently on complex areas
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience with AI tools, automation platforms, or data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills with an appetite to move beyond it - experience with Python, Power Query, or similar a plus
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across Finance, FP&A, and the broader business
- A continuous improvement mindset - someone who asks "how can this be done better" not just "how has this been done"
