Senior Accountant

About the role

CV Resources is partnering with a well-established and growing real estate investment, development, and construction organization to hire a Senior Accountant for its Vancouver, WA team. This is a unique opportunity for a strong Senior Accountant who enjoys corporate accounting, consolidations, and investment-related accounting and wants exposure to a sophisticated real estate environment.

What You'll Do

• Manage accounting for corporate and construction overhead activity
• Support investment accounting, including investment-related entries and reporting
• Prepare and review consolidated financial information
• Assist with fair market value analysis and investment valuations
• Own portions of the month-end and year-end close
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Analyze balance sheet and general ledger activity
• Maintain schedules supporting financial statements and investment activity
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Assist with audit requests and supporting documentation
• Partner with accounting, finance, construction, and investment teams
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects

What We're Looking For

• Several years of progressive corporate accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and month-end close
• Experience with consolidations
• Investment accounting experience is highly preferred
• Exposure to fair market value analysis or investment valuations is a strong plus
• Real estate, development, construction, investment, or similar industry experience preferred
• Strong reconciliation and financial statement experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Strong Excel skills
• Ability to work independently, research issues, and operate effectively in a complex accounting environment

Pay

• $90,000–$100,000 DOE upon permanent conversion
