Responsibilities
- Oversee the entry and review of transactions
- Support inventory management and job-related tasks
- Conduct reviews for inventory obsolescence
- Analyze sales, costs, and margins
- Facilitate job closure processes
- Calculate and prepare general journal entries for rebates, commissions, inventory and revenue
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts each month
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies
Qualifications
- Experience with the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and the COSO internal control framework
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on transaction processing
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
- Demonstrated expertise in accounting and financial analysis
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting, specifically in subledger or general ledger accounting
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including sumif, lookup functions, and pivot tables
Skills
- Knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and COSO internal control framework
- Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close process
- Strong attention to detail and transaction processing skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
