Senior Accountant

Role Responsibilities

  • Coordinate month-end close activities, including timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, inter-company elimination and balancing processes, expense accruals, prepaid amortization, lease accounting, fixed assets and account reconciliations
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close in accordance with GAAP, company policies and controls
  • Review monthly and quarterly reporting analysis and other management reporting as assigned
  • Lead team members, projects and certain functions managed by the Controller’s Department
  • Provide thought leadership, continually evaluating and optimizing month-end close processes to deliver process automation and improved accuracy
  • Develop/enhance, implement and enforce accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures that will improve the overall operation and reduce risks of the business
  • Support with internal and external auditors to ensure a clean and timely year end audit
  • Collaborate and partner with cross functionally with global departments on resolving month-end close activities and while working on strategic initiatives
  • Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA track preferred)
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally within large or complex organizations; public accounting experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and self-motivated
  • Ability to coordinate and work with business leaders in multiple locations
  • Ability to meet deadlines timely accurately in a high pace environment
  • Must be a hands-on, detail-oriented individual
  • The right person will be ambitious and flexible who wants to learn and grow professionally
  • Excellent Excel skills and willingness to learn new technical applications
