Primary staff responsible for reviewing reimbursement draw requests submitted by County departments for the American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA).
Responsibilities
- Review on a sample basis costs being claimed to contracts executed.
- Review and compare the nature of contracts to actual approval of projects for consistency.
- Reconcile costs to COMPASS (SAP) to ensure cost has been incurred and payment received.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. Treasury rules and guidelines, Federal OMB guidelines, and contract terms.
- Assist the accounting manager in compiling federal expenditures for SEFA reporting purposes.
- Act as a liaison for any potential audits of the ARPA program.
- Assist in the performance of subrecipient monitoring in accordance with applicable federal requirements.
- Perform accounting-related duties as identified during the normal course of operations.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in accounting.
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
Skills
- Proven knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and practices, including cost accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to assemble, analyze, and prepare reports covering complex financial data.
- Experience with accounts payable/receivable in an automated system.
Schedule
Onsite, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
