Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data and prepare financial reports for management.
• Manage the month-end closing process, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze variance reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
• Knowledge of budgeting and cost control processes.
