Senior Accountant

Join a growing FinTech organization as a Senior Accountant. You'll work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, support technical accounting initiatives, and improve processes through automation and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with US GAAP
- Support external audits by preparing schedules and required documentation
- Research complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition (ASC 606) and lease accounting (ASC 842)
- Assist with technical accounting memos, policy development, and internal control initiatives
- Partner with FP&A, Sales, Operations, and Legal on business initiatives and contract review
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy
- Support automation and ERP enhancement projects as the company continues to grow
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and audit support
- Advanced Excel skills
- Exposure to ASC 606 and/or ASC 842
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or actively pursuing certification
- Public accounting background or experience in SaaS, FinTech, or technology organizations
- Experience working in a private equity-backed or high-growth environment
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite
- Experience participating in automation or process improvement initiatives

Pay
The pay range for this position is $100,000 - $115,000 per year. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a permanent, fully onsite position based in Melville, NY.
