Senior Accountant
Responsibilities
- Participate in month-end close by ensuring all financial transactions for the month are accurately recorded and reconciled promptly.
- This includes preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and assisting in financial reporting.
- Conduct detailed analysis of production costs, including direct materials, labor, and overheads, to ensure accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Supervise inventory levels, track usage, and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accurate valuation and minimize waste or shortages.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports on manufacturing costs, providing insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making by Senior management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements in all cost accounting activities, including responding to audit requests with accurate and complete support.
- Monitor and analyze cost variances, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective measures to align with budgeted targets.
