Responsibilities
- Lead and support staff accountants.
- Perform full-cycle month-end close functions in accounting software systems.
- Run monthly close reporting.
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and yearly journal entries, including reviewing and approving journal entries.
- Reconcile balance sheet and other accounts monthly and as needed.
- Review and approve balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
- Create financial reports based on data analytics.
- Support and manage interactions with internal and external auditors.
- Ensure all transaction support documentation is processed, maintained, and filed accurately and timely.
- Prepare and submit documents as required by established internal controls.
- Build courteous and effective relationships with office staff to maintain efficient practices.
- Promote teamwork, knowledge sharing, support, and a positive attitude within the department and office.
- Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverage, technology, and professional development, including continuing education.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Pursuing a CPA designation or equivalent certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of financial accounting.
- Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office environment, including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Four to seven years of full-cycle general ledger accounting experience.
- Experience with Workday Financials.
- Insurance brokerage experience (preferred).

Skills & Experience
- To be successful, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- You should have working knowledge of financial accounting.
- You should have strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office environment, including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- You should have four to seven years of full-cycle general ledger accounting experience.
- You should have experience with Workday Financials (preferred).
- You should have insurance brokerage experience (preferred).
