Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
- Aid in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Perform account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable accounting standards.
- Assist with audits and prepare audit documentation.
- Analyze financial data and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with departments across the organization on accounting and financial matters.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree preferred.
- CPA or CGFM certification preferred.
- Minimum of three to five years of accounting and/or auditing experience.
- Public accounting or audit experience preferred.
- Utility or Oil & Gas industry experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
