About the role
This role is a critical part of a growing, private company. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in building, refining, and executing core accounting processes.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances, providing clear insights to leadership
- Build, document, and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance scalability and accuracy
- Establish a disciplined close calendar and enforce accountability across departments
- Support system enhancements or implementations as needed
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll, and cash management
- Prepare audit-ready schedules and documentation to support external audit processes
- Absorb and communicate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audit deliverables
- Collaborate with operations and other departments to improve financial visibility and discipline
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting and/or industry)
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience in a high-growth environment is highly preferred
- Prioritize attention to detail with the ability to operate both tactically and strategically
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel

Pay
The salary range for this role is $95,000 - $110,000 annually.
Schedule
The role is currently hybrid, with 2 days in the office per week.
