About the Role
The Senior Account Manager, Local Sales Channel is responsible for profitably growing TBC’s sales, gross margin, and market share in targeted growth channels, with a focus on independent dealers. Success requires a customer-centric approach and collaboration with local Distribution Center Operations, Sales Operations, Sales Leadership, and other TBC departments.
Responsibilities
- Actively engage and grow current and prospective customers in the assigned market.
- Drive Associate Dealer enrollments and engagements with Independent Tire Dealers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain Operations, Sales Operations, Finance, Marketing, and other TBC teams.
- Develop strong customer relationships through in-person visits, Teams calls, and partnerships with suppliers.
- Participate in the deployment of marketing and promotional programs.
- Convert leads into profitable sales.
- Facilitate vendor programs with customers, focusing on "GET – GIVES and GO’s."
- Maintain an average of 67 in-person customer visits per month (Friday reserved for administrative tasks).
- Communicate TBC-specific promotions and programs.
- Facilitate dealer training opportunities and deliver strong presentations.
- Develop customized business plans to help customers grow their businesses.
- Organize and analyze data to support decision-making.
- Use Salesforce.com to track customer interactions, opportunities, and growth.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly business reviews with customers to identify growth opportunities.
- Meet and exceed established sales metrics and targets.
- Serve as the voice of the customer and marketplace.
- Develop and execute a Share of Wallet growth plan for the top 15 retailers in your book of business.
- Create and implement pricing profiles to sustain high Share of Wallet customers, accounting for their number of locations, in collaboration with the Pricing team.
- Develop and execute a Local DC product screen to improve return on capital employed.
- Collaborate with tire manufacturing sales reps to drive associate dealer compliance, share of wallet growth, and sign new associate dealers.
- Set the benchmark for Salesforce usage within the region.
- Represent peers on the Sales Team Advisory Council or other corporate initiatives to enhance sales performance.
Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. in Business, Sales, or Marketing (preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of proven sales experience.
- Automotive or tire industry experience, or transferable sales skills.
- Demonstrated business and financial acumen.
- Professional appearance and strong virtual/in-person communication skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work autonomously with limited supervision.
- Valid driver’s license and a compliant vehicle for data reporting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal daily/weekly guidance.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (a plus).
