About the role

Wood Mackenzie is looking for enthusiastic and talented sales professionals to grow and embed our solutions with energy trading clients, develop strategic client relationships, and drive commercial success. This role is a key driver for sales execution and performance across existing and new accounts, focusing on key clients in the energy trading market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the value our solutions provide, the sectors they operate in, and customer buying cycles.
  • Identify and engage with key stakeholders within your customers to present growth opportunities.
  • Proactively manage and maximize the commercial growth of your portfolio to align with regional priorities.
  • Understand the product roadmap and position new solutions ahead of buying cycles to maximize success.
  • Partner closely with the Product Team to shape the product development roadmap and gather competitive intelligence.
  • Represent Wood Mackenzie in the market, expand brand recognition, and advocate for our market-leading services.
  • Collaborate effectively with marketing, training, client services, research, and consulting teams.
  • Manage the business pipeline to ensure accurate salesforce forecasting.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in B2B sales of data or SaaS-based solutions.
  • Experience with value-based selling and understanding customer workflows and needs.
  • Ability to develop relationships from C-suite to end users in complex, global organizations.
  • Competency in delivering short-term targets and planning long-term commercial strategy.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with internal teams to achieve commercial success.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, driven by business performance and motivated by growth.
  • Outstanding judgment in resource utilization and optimization.
  • Intellectual curiosity and aptitude for data analytics and its business applications.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills to manage workload effectively.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Power, or Natural Resources is a plus.
