The Senior Account Manager
In-Office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
- Own the relationship and strategic direction for a portfolio of active client accounts
- Lead recurring client calls and presentations independently, setting agendas, presenting performance insights, and recommending next steps
- Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and communicate the value of additional services
- Serve as the connective tissue between clients and internal teams, ensuring deliverables are on-brand, on-strategy, and on-time
- Translate client business goals into actionable project requirements for creative, development, and marketing teams
- Monitor account health, flag risks early, and protect client retention
- Develop proposals and scopes of work for ongoing and expanding engagements
- Report on account performance and pipeline to senior leadership
Position Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in account management, client services, or client success at a digital, marketing, or creative agency: this is a hard requirement
- Proven track record of independently managing and retaining client relationships
- Comfortable leading meetings with business owners, marketing directors, and C-suite stakeholders
- Working knowledge of digital marketing concepts: SEO, PPC, content strategy, analytics, and web development
- Strong written and verbal communication: you can explain complex work in simple terms
- Process-driven with high attention to detail across multiple concurrent accounts
- Experience with project management tools (Basecamp, Asana, Monday, or similar)
Preferred
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Experience with WordPress-based web projects
- Background in selling or upselling agency services
