Senior Account Manager

Channel Impact · United States · 6 days ago
RemoteRemoteMarketingFull-time

Channel Impact is a channel-focused managed services company that helps leading technology organizations build, execute, and scale high-impact partner programs. We provide experienced channel professionals and managed services across partner marketing, events, audience engagement, and other critical channel functions.

About the role

This is not a traditional account management role. The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by expanding our managed services within existing accounts and developing new client relationships. This person will also serve as an external ambassador for Channel Impact—building relationships across the partner ecosystem, attending and speaking at industry events, and developing a strong professional presence within the channel community. This is a field-based, highly visible role for someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities, and turning those relationships into revenue. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position for a remote employee based in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute a revenue growth strategy across existing and prospective clients.
  • Expand Channel Impact's footprint within existing accounts by identifying new organizations, business units, programs, and decision-makers that could benefit from our managed services.
  • Develop a pipeline of new clients within the technology and channel ecosystem.
  • Prospect, qualify, develop, and close new managed services opportunities.
  • Build relationships with senior leaders across Channel, Partner Marketing, Partner Programs, Events, Sales, and related functions.
  • Develop account plans and growth strategies for key clients.
  • Identify client business challenges and translate them into managed service opportunities.
  • Lead proposals, presentations, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations in partnership with Channel Impact leadership.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and consistently meet or exceed established growth targets.
  • Develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders and executive sponsors within assigned accounts.
  • Understand each client's organization, priorities, partner strategy, budgets, and upcoming initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing engagements into additional services and programs.
  • Partner closely with Channel Impact's internal delivery teams to ensure we are delivering exceptional value to clients.
  • Conduct regular account reviews and proactively identify opportunities and risks.
  • Serve as a strategic resource to clients—not simply a vendor.
  • Serve as a visible external representative and ambassador for Channel Impact within the technology channel community.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with channel executives, partner leaders, industry organizations, analysts, influencers, and other members of the partner ecosystem.
  • Attend relevant channel conferences, partner events, industry meetings, networking events, and client events.
  • Pursue opportunities to speak, moderate panels, participate in roundtables, and represent Channel Impact at industry events.
  • Build a strong professional network that creates awareness of Channel Impact and generates business opportunities.
  • Identify partnerships and industry relationships that can expand Channel Impact's reach and credibility.
  • Establish an active and credible professional presence within the channel and partner community.
  • Develop and share relevant perspectives on channel trends, partner marketing, managed services, and the evolving partner ecosystem.
  • Maintain a consistent presence on LinkedIn and other relevant industry platforms.
  • Collaborate with Channel Impact's marketing resources to develop posts, articles, event commentary, client success stories, and other thought-leadership content.
  • Use social media and industry engagement to build relationships, increase Channel Impact brand awareness, and generate sales opportunities.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in account management, business development, channel sales, partner marketing, managed services, or a related technology industry role.
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue within existing enterprise accounts.
  • Proven ability to develop and close new business.
  • Strong understanding of the technology channel, partner ecosystem, and partner-led go-to-market models.
  • Existing relationships and credibility within the channel community strongly preferred.
  • Experience selling professional services, managed services, marketing services, staffing solutions, or other consultative solutions.
  • Ability to engage confidently with senior and executive-level client stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation, storytelling, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable speaking publicly and representing the company at industry events.
  • Strong professional presence both in person and through social media.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to create opportunities rather than simply manage an assigned book of business.
  • Highly self-directed and comfortable working in a field-based environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly for client meetings, conferences, partner events, and other industry activities.

How Success Will Be Measured

  • Revenue growth from existing clients
  • New managed services revenue
  • Qualified pipeline creation and conversion
  • Expansion into new organizations and decision-makers within strategic accounts
  • New client acquisition
  • Strength and growth of relationships within the channel community
  • Channel Impact's visibility at key industry events
  • Development of a credible external and social media presence
  • Achievement of annual revenue and gross profit targets

Pay

This position will offer a competitive base salary plus commission, with significant upside tied to revenue growth and new business generation. The ideal compensation structure will reward both expansion of existing accounts and acquisition of new clients, with additional incentive for profitable, recurring managed services revenue.

Schedule

This is a field-based role requiring regular travel for client meetings, industry conferences, partner events, networking opportunities, and other business-development activities.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
  • Full Healthcare Package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, long-term disability insurance, life and AD&D insurance
  • Flexible paid time off
  • Paid holidays
